I don't want to make this blog a journal but would like to highlight some events that have occurred in past 10 days here in Armenia, Colombia. I have an apartment above a wonderful family. In Colombia, "almuerzo" or lunch is the main meal served mid-afternoon and consisting of homemade soup, homemade fruit juice, a vegetable or salad, meat, and rice. I had the pleasure of introducing the family to chicken parmigiania last Sat. Besides eating, there are always visitors at the home and we had a Bible study among Sandra, Laura, and myself each day, and some days with the visitors. We visited a farm where we prayed over land and the family and I got to see my lunch harvested before my eyes with yucca plant. I have been privileged to have 4 speaking/sharing assignments thus far and 8 or so more to come at different churches. I have learned never refuse a gift or opportunity to be blessed by a grateful Colombian. A beautiful sister in Christ honored me and showed me love by giving me a manicure and pedicure! Then I learned how we hang clothes to dry on a high line using the technology of a long pole with nail to position a hanger with wet clothes on the line! A lot of laughter and fun. All in all I am having a great experience and loving the people and the place. Saturday I "hiked" up the hill near El Centro mall twice for exercise and walked around to remind me of my Sat. hikes back in Az. I look forward to what the Lord will teach me the rest of this trip and want to do all for His glory. I pray that I can be a blessing to the people here as much as they are a blessing to me.
"I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify Your name forevermore. "
